Warren Patout’s
World War II Service
Warren Patout served as a Pharmacist’s Mate First Class in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, providing medical care aboard the USS General D. E. Aultman. He supported global troop transport, treated injured and ill servicemen and played a critical role in postwar repatriation missions across the Atlantic and Pacific.
Warren Patout’s Service Memorial
Mark Patout (right) grew up knowing his father served in World War II, but very little beyond that. Like so many families, the details were never really talked about and eventually faded with time. Through this Service Memorial, Mark was finally able to see where his dad served, what he did and the role he played during the war.
