Bernard Miskin’s
World War II Service
Bernard Miskin served as a Marine rifleman with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment during World War II. Deploying to the Pacific in 1944, he fought in the Battle of Okinawa in 1945, enduring brutal ground combat in one of the war’s largest amphibious assaults. Wounded twice in action, his service placed him at the heart of the campaign that helped break Japan’s final defenses.
Bernard Miskin’s Service Memorial
Bernard Miskin’s family came to us knowing very little about his World War II service, only that he never spoke about what he experienced in the Pacific. Through detailed research, we uncovered his story and translated it into a clear, visual Service Memorial. For the first time, his family can now understand, preserve, and share the full scope of Bernard’s service and sacrifice.
